Unlike traditional therapy that focuses on problems and their causes, solution-focused therapy emphasizes your goals and the solutions that will help you achieve them. We spend time identifying what’s already working in your life, where the gaps are, and how to develop skills and strategies for improvement and growth.
Currently, we provide therapy services only to patients receiving psychiatric services at our practice as part of an integrated approach. If an evaluation is performed and our team determines that weekly therapy is the best approach, we maintain referral resources with independent licensed therapists.
Yes, in many cases it can be, and we utilize family-focused approaches to therapy as well as individual, brief therapy when indicated. Our extensive network of referral resources bridge the gap when additional therapy services are indicated, and we’ll work to coordinate care with any outside clinicians as needed.
Solution-focused and skills based therapies are useful for a variety of symptoms and diagnoses, including social anxiety, ADHD, some mood disorders, and insomnia. For patients requiring therapy for other mental health concerns, we’ll provide referrals and coordinate care as needed.
